Tom West

Tom West has a diverse work experience in the golf industry. Tom started their career as a part-time Shop Assistant at Tim Jenkins Golf Limited in 2007 while still in school and college. Tom then worked as a Shop Assistant at Sports Direct International, where they independently developed the Golf department of the store. Tom returned to Tim Jenkins Golf Limited as a full-time Shop Assistant, taking on more responsibilities such as merchandising and shop operations.

In 2012, Tom joined Direct Golf as a Relief Manager and later became a Shop Assistant. Tom was promoted to a key holder and duty manager, demonstrating their reliability and suitability for higher positions.

Tom then joined Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort in 2013 as an Assistant Golf Professional. Tom completed their PGA postgraduate degree while providing exceptional customer service as part of a dedicated golf service team. Tom later became the Golf Sales Manager and PGA Golf Professional at Rockliffe Hall.

In 2017, Tom worked as an Assistant Golf Operations Manager at The Gleneagles Hotel. Tom managed the customer journey across multiple golf courses and handled event management responsibilities.

Returning to Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort in 2018, Tom took on the role of Golf Sales Manager and PGA Golf Professional once again.

In 2019, Tom joined Close House Golf Club LTD as a Key Account Manager and later became the Membership Manager. Tom continued to excel in their roles, showcasing their skills in customer relationship management and account management.

Currently, Tom is the Golf & Resort Membership Manager at Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort, showcasing their experience and expertise in golf operations and management. In March 2023, they will assume the position of Head of Golf.

Throughout their career, Tom has consistently demonstrated their passion for golf and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Tom West attended Conyers Secondary School from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained their GCSEs with grades ranging from A*-B. Tom then enrolled in Conyers Sixth Form from 2008 to 2010, where they pursued A Levels in Mathematics, Geography, and Chemistry. After completing their A Levels, Tom West attended the University of Birmingham from 2013 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in FdSc Professional Golf Studies. During this time, they also received certifications in Level 2 Golf Coach from the Professional Golfers' Association in July 2015 and INSPIRE Leadership Development Training from Core People Development in March 2015. Finally, Tom West pursued higher education at the University of Derby from 2020 to 2022, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Hospitality and Business Management.
