Eric Soutar

Eric Soutar has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Eric is currently the Director of Software Engineering at Rockport Networks since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Development Manager at Rockport Networks from March 2018 to November 2022.

Before joining Rockport Networks, Eric worked at CENX, where they held various roles including Software Architect from October 2017 to February 2018, Software Development Manager from March 2017 to October 2017, Head of Architecture from February 2016 to March 2017, Software Development Manager from February 2015 to February 2016, and Software Developer from July 2013 to February 2015.

Eric started their career at IBM Canada Ltd. as an Advisory Software Engineer from December 2008 to June 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Cognos in 2008. Eric also gained experience as a Co-Op Student at Syntapa Technologies Inc. in both 2006 and 2006. Eric further expanded their skills as a Co-Op Student at Ottawa Hospital in 2005.

Eric Soutar attended the University of Ottawa from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained a B.A. Sc. degree in Computer Engineering. Eric'sfield of study focused on Computer Engineering during their time at university.
