Carien Van Der Merwe

Carien van der Merwe is currently the Head of Legal at Rockstart since January 2020. Prior to this, Carien was a self-employed Advocate from November 2014 to January 2020, where Carien successfully built up a litigation practice. Before that, Carien worked as a Practising Attorney at Ridgway Merry & Weldhagen Inc. from 2011 to December 2013. Carien has obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2010 and has pursued various additional qualifications in Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, and European Business Law. Carien also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Law and Economics from North-West University.
