Vladimir Shirokov

Vladimir Shirokov is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience at Rockwool International since November 2008, serving as a Senior IT Consultant and previously as an IT Consultant. In the role of Senior IT Consultant, Vladimir leads LAN, WAN, and Wireless solutions, overseeing network design groups and managing international project teams to implement and support a global network for approximately 7,000 users across 32 factories and 54 offices worldwide using Cisco equipment. Key contributions include corporate network management, WAN communications development, and the establishment of a global data center. Prior to this, Vladimir worked at Rockwool Russia from September 1999 to September 2007 as a Specialist IT, focusing on IT infrastructure design and administration, including the successful migration to a Cisco Campus network. Vladimir holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Izhevsk State Technical University, earned between 1993 and 1998.
