Alex Milano

Senior Associate, Global South at RMI

Alex Milano is a senior associate at RMI's Global South Initiative, where they focus on capacity building and training for local stakeholders in order to help them access international climate finance.

Prior to joining RMI, Milano worked as a consultant at E Co., a consultancy specializing in the design and formulation of climate change adaptation and mitigation projects. At E Co., Milano was responsible for managing the capacity building and training program, developing and coordinating training courses, and working with clients to formulate bankable climate finance projects.

Milano has extensive experience in the field of climate change, having designed over 250 climate change adaptation and mitigation projects in their career. Alex is also well-versed in gender, social, and financial inclusion issues, and has conducted market assessments on these topics.

Alex Milano holds a Master of Science in Social Development Practice from UCL, as well as a Financial Inclusion Policy certification from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. They also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Theirtory from Gettysburg College, with minors in Africana Studies and Political Science. Additionally, they have completed certification programs in Establishing Credibility as a Speaker and Management Foundations from LinkedIn, and have a Project Management Foundations: Lessons Learned certification from LinkedIn.

They are on a team with Mizan Massa - Energy Lead, Global South, Skylar Bee - Manager, Global South, and Collins Dadzie - Senior Associate, Global South. Alex Milano reports to Raul Alfaro-Pelico, Senior Director, Global South.
