Ije Ikoku Okeke

Ije Ikoku Okeke serves as the Managing Director at RMI, focusing on mobilizing and scaling climate finance globally since June 2023. Prior to this role, Ije co-founded Griot International Partners, a private equity firm aimed at supporting decarbonized growth from April 2021 to April 2023. Ije was also an Advisor/Commissioner with The Rockefeller Foundation on the Global Commission to End Energy Poverty from April 2019 to January 2022. Previously, Ije held the position of Group CFO and founding team member at CEC Africa Investments Limited, which developed and financed renewable energy projects across Sub-Saharan Africa. Ije's career includes experience as a Senior Investment Officer at the International Finance Corporation, specializing in infrastructure sectors, and as an Investment Associate at Emerging Capital Partners. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School.
