Evgeny Variagin is an experienced leader in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as CEO, Founder, and Co-Owner of Solar Chernobyl since July 2015, where the focus is on implementing renewable energy projects in areas affected by the Chernobyl disaster. As CEO of Rodina since April 2013, Variagin oversees general management and strategic growth in solar markets across Eastern Europe and the CIS. Previous roles include General Manager at Activ Solar LLC, where Variagin managed the development and optimization of solar parks in Ukraine, and significant positions in construction and project management at Olympic-Park, GILYONER, and Gleeds. Variagin holds advanced degrees in International Law and International Investment Management, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Managerial Economics.
