Thomas Kern

Thomas Kern is an experienced communications professional, currently serving as the Global Communications Manager at Röhm since August 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing global marketing communication activities, press relations, and brand management for the PLEXIGLAS® brand. Previously, Thomas held the position of Global Communication Molding Compounds at Evonik, spanning September 2017 to July 2019, managing similar global MarCom activities. Earlier roles include Marketing Communications Manager at Merck KGaA, where Thomas focused on the Industrial Pigments segment, and Project Marketing CHARM at Open Grid Europe GmbH. Thomas began a career at E.ON as a Project Assistant CHARM, facilitating marketing strategies and events. Currently, Thomas is pursuing an Executive MBA in General Management at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and participated in an exchange program at Tongji University in April 2024, focusing on understanding China.
