Walter Ramos, JD, has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Walter is currently serving as the President & CEO of Rogerson Communities, a non-profit organization that focuses on creating communities where elders thrive. Prior to this role, Ramos was the President of Carney Hospital, which is a 159-bed community teaching hospital located in Boston. Walter also held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at DotHouse Health and served as the Vice President of Operations at Massachusetts Hospital Association. Ramos was the Chief Administrator at BMC HealthNet Plan, a Medicaid Managed Care Organization, and they oversaw all administrative services and operations of the Boston Public Health Commission as the Director of Administration. Before their career in healthcare, Ramos worked as an attorney at their own law firm.

Walter Ramos, JD has an extensive education history in the field of law and leadership. Walter obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a focus on Political Science and Law from Roger Williams University, where they attended from 1979 to 1983. Subsequently, Walter pursued their Juris Doctorate (JD) from Suffolk University Law School, which they completed between 1985 and 1988. In 2011, they attended the Center for Creative Leadership, where they took part in an intensive 10-month Health Care Executive Leadership Program and became a Fellow of the institution in 2012.
