Steven van de Vijver

Steven van de Vijver is an experienced general practitioner within the Family Medicine Department at OLVG since July 2014. In addition to clinical practice, Steven serves as a Senior Advisor at the Amsterdam Health & Technology Institute and holds a Visiting Lecturer position at the KIT Royal Tropical Institute, focusing on cardiovascular disease, non-communicable diseases, and migration. As a board member for several organizations including the Laguna Collective and Ushamwari Foundation OLVG - Zimbabwe, Steven contributes to various health initiatives. An active author, Steven has published several books addressing health and social issues. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Medicine from the University of Amsterdam, a Master's in International Health from the Royal Tropical Institute, and an MD from the University of Groningen.
