Thomas Schaer

Thomas Schaer is an experienced IT professional with a robust background in global IT infrastructure and corporate IT services. Currently serving as the Head of Global IT Infrastructure at Rohde & Schwarz since July 2018, Thomas previously held leadership positions at Airbus Group and Airbus Defence and Space, focusing on corporate IT end user services and global infrastructure front office services. Additional experience includes roles at Cassidian Systems, Qimonda, Infineon Technologies, and Siemens, where responsibilities spanned IT service portfolio management, project management office leadership, and integration of joint ventures. Thomas holds an MBA from Henley Business School and advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering from HTWK Leipzig and the University of Birmingham.
