Philip Schulz

Philip Schulz is currently a Senior Staff ML Scientist at Rokt, where they focus on developing machine learning solutions for business challenges. Previously, they served as an Applied Scientist at Amazon from 2018 to 2022, concentrating on scalable probabilistic and causal modeling within Amazon retail and AWS. Philip earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Amsterdam in 2018, specializing in natural language processing, and continues to publish research in this field. Their broader research interests include hierarchical models, deep generative models, and causal inference, and they utilize variational inference methods for complex posterior approximations.
