Elizabeth Bratt is an accomplished computational linguist with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as Manager and Senior Computational Linguist at Roku Inc. since September 2018, Elizabeth has previously held senior roles at VoiceBox Technologies, contributing to symbolic semantic parsing and statistical named entity recognition for Location Intelligence before the company’s acquisition by Nuance. Prior to that, Elizabeth conducted research as a Senior Research Engineer at Stanford University, focusing on spoken dialogue interfaces. With a background as a Research Linguist at SRI International, Elizabeth was the Principal Investigator for the DARPA Communicator project and worked on dialogue systems for travel planning. Early career experiences include grammar writing for Apple's Data Detectors project and instructing American English communication skills at Stanford University. Elizabeth holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Stanford University and a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of Michigan.
