Jesper Bakker

Jesper Bakker has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Jesper is currently working at Roll Group as a Chief Officer, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, they served as a 2nd Officer at Roll Group from June 2021 to April 2023. In July 2020, Jesper worked as a 3rd Officer at the same company. Before joining Roll Group, Jesper was a 2nd Engineer at Lowland International from November 2019 to July 2020. Jesper also worked as a Lab Technician at SGS from August 2019 to November 2019. Jesper's early career included roles as a Cadet at Anet shipping C.V. from March 2019 to July 2019, a Lab Technician at SGS from February 2018 to January 2019, and a Cadet at CV S.O. But II from July 2017 to December 2017. Jesper also has experience in the hospitality industry as a Lead Bartender at Cafe Speyk from October 2012 to July 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Secretaris at Marum Bibio from April 2013 to October 2014. Jesper's earliest experience in the maritime industry was as a Deckhand at Spliethoff Group, where they worked for a few weeks in 2012, assisting with various maintenance tasks both in the engine room and on deck.

Jesper Bakker holds a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Officer from HZ University Of Applied Sciences, which they obtained from 2011 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned their HAVO diploma in N&G + Physics from B.C. Broekhin, completing it from 2006 to 2011. Additionally, Jesper has obtained various certifications in areas such as ship security, polar training, basic training, medical first aid, safety, and security awareness from reputable institutions including FMTC Safety, Simwave, De Ruyter training & Consultancy (DRTC), and koninklijke PBNA.
