Mike Vacchio is an experienced educator and business professional with a diverse background in teaching, management, and sales. Currently serving as a Permanent Substitute Teacher at Freeport Public Schools' Dodd Middle School since December 2020, Mike collaborates closely with the Business Technology Teacher to enhance classroom dynamics and support student learning. Additionally, Mike has longstanding experience as a Waterfront & Boat Dock Supervisor at Rolling River Day Camp since 2015. Prior roles include Vice President and Partner-Owner at Vacstar Machine Products Corp., where Mike managed operations and client relationships, and various teaching positions with the NYC Department of Education, focusing on Technology and English Language Arts. With a Master's degree in Technology & Education and a Bachelor's in Secondary Education & Western Literature from Long Island University, Mike has a strong educational foundation to complement a successful career in both education and business.
