Chris C. has extensive work experience in the field of Information Security. Chris is currently working as an Information Security Lead at Rolls-Royce SMR, where they lead a team of information security professionals and ensures the delivery of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) using ISO27001:2022 standard. Chris also supports the cyber security function with NIST 800-171 alignment and engages with stakeholders to promote the security team and secure by design philosophy.

Prior to this, Chris worked as an Information Security Consultant at Rathbones Group Plc, where they provided expert advice to stakeholders and supported the information and cyber security strategy. Chris assessed risks, worked closely with Strategy & Architecture and financial system specialists to deliver new systems and services, and promoted the security team as an enabler.

Chris also worked as an Information Security Consultant at Synextra Ltd, where they provided security consultation, reviewed the Information Security Management System (ISMS), and conducted internal audits for an ISO27001 assessment. Chris worked with the board and department heads to deliver a new approach to ISMS management.

In addition, Chris has held the position of Head of IT & Information Security / Data Protection Officer at The Marketing Lounge Partnership Limited. Chris oversaw the daily operations of the IT department, data management, and security functions. Chris built and led a team of infrastructure engineers and rebuilt the technology infrastructure using principles of security and privacy by design.

Before that, Chris worked as an IT Systems Manager at Sheridan UK Limited, a Senior Technical Officer at Halton Borough Council, and a Server Migration Technician at Getronics. Chris also worked as a Field Operations Specialist at Hewlett-Packard and an Operations Support Manager at Maosco Ltd.

Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated expertise in infrastructure design and management, VDI deployment, server technologies, AD security, and GPO administration. Chris has successfully delivered numerous projects and has mentored junior colleagues.
