Jonathan Hughes

Jonathan Hughes is a Principal Mechanical Engineer currently employed at Rolls-Royce SMR since September 2025, with prior experience in the same role at Assystem from April 2020 to September 2025. Jonathan has also held positions as a Principal Design Engineer at Wessington Cryogenics and as a Senior Engineer at Assystem UK. Expertise encompasses structural design and assessments, pipe stress analysis, flow analysis, equipment sizing and selection, along with proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawings. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, completed in 2009.
