Matthew Gavin

Matthew Gavin is currently the Chief Design Engineer for Components and Mechanical Equipment at Rolls-Royce SMR. Prior to this role, Matthew held various positions at Rolls-Royce, including Design Manager for Reactor Components at Rolls-Royce Innovation Hub and Core and Components Lead at Rolls-Royce Submarines. With a background in mechanical and production engineering, Matthew has also worked at Chesterfield Special Cylinders, Siemens VAI, and Pandrol UK. Matthew's educational background includes a Master's in Advanced Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University and a Bachelor's in Mechanical and Computer Aided Engineering.
