Tony Bates

Tony Bates is an experienced professional in facilities management and project management, currently serving as the Development Engineering Facilities Manager at Rolls-Royce SMR since July 2024. In this role, Tony oversees a team responsible for the FM service delivery strategy for the first SMR nuclear power plant and leads the search and management of RIBA stages for a simulator building's construction. Prior experience includes a Project Manager position at G3 Systems Ltd, where customer relationship management and construction were pivotal, and a Senior Facilities Manager role at VINCI Facilities, overseeing Hard FM services for a diverse portfolio of over 500 buildings. Additionally, significant expertise includes managing total FM packages for luxury and conservation projects in Abu Dhabi and the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant. Academically, Tony holds a FdA in Facilities Management from Sheffield Hallam University and completed an Electrical Engineering apprenticeship at Rotherham College of Arts and Technology.
