Wassim Hamwi

Wassim Hamwi is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as Managing Director at Rombit since August 2021, Hamwi previously held the position of Vice President of Group Information Technology at Meydan Group from July 2007 to October 2021, overseeing software implementation and development in sectors including real estate and logistics. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Technology Officer at Dubai World, managing IT projects for Dubai Ports & Customs, and implementing Oracle ERP across the organization. Hamwi also worked as Chief System Architect at Synapse Group Inc. and held system architecture roles at Yahoo Sports and TDS®, where contributions included the development of payment integration systems and the implementation of Oracle ERP solutions. Holding a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management Information Systems from Ashland University, Hamwi has built a diverse and effective career in technology management.
