Jess Floro has a broad range of work experience, beginning with an Undergraduate Research Lab Assistant position at the University of Virginia in 2009. In 2011, they were an Intern at University Physical Therapy, a Summer Research Scholar at Virginia Tech, and a Personal Trainer at Equinox. In 2014, they were a Visiting Research Scholar at Boston University, and from 2015-2021 they were a PhD Candidate at Boston University School of Medicine, Division of Graduate Medical Sciences. Currently, they are a Scientist I at Constellation Pharmaceuticals and will be transitioning to a Scientist I role at ROME Therapeutics in 2022.

Jess Floro obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech in 2012. In 2014, they obtained a Functional Movement Screen: Level 1 certification from Functional Movement Systems and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Jess also obtained Adult CPR and AED certifications from the American Red Cross in 2011. In 2012, they obtained an ACE Certified Personal Trainer certification from the American Council on Exercise. Currently, Jess is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Molecular and Translational Medicine from the Boston University School of Medicine, Division of Graduate Medical Sciences, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
