Shon Pulley, Ph.D. has a wealth of experience in the field of medicinal chemistry. Shon began their career in 1995 as an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri. In 2000, they joined Pharmacia & Upjohn as a Research and Development Scientist, where they designed and implemented novel SAR for inhibitors of beta-secretase using structure based drug design and managed CRO chemistry resources for the team. In 2003, they moved to Eli Lilly and Company as a Principal Research Scientist, where they were a project leader with biology colleagues and external collaborators in the progression of inhibitors of G-protein coupled receptors in oncology. Shon also co-sponsored a Six Sigma project that designed and implemented a process for all internal drug discovery teams to request and receive standards for target validation using contract research resources. In 2006, they were promoted to Research Advisor, where they were a team leader in collaboration with an external partner and a key member of a core team responsible for delivering and training end-users on a global solution for lab supply and reagent management. In 2010, they moved to D&M Continuous Solutions, LLC as a Senior Research Chemist. In 2011, they joined Elanco as Senior Director Research Technologies, where they were accountable for the Elanco Research Labs and Lab Operations and created and implemented the ERL strategy. In 2021, they became an Independent Consultant at SolTerra Consulting LLC, and in 2022 they joined ROME Therapeutics as Senior Director Medicinal Chemistry.

Shon Pulley, Ph.D. has an extensive education history. Shon began their education in 1984 at Utah State University, where they earned a BS, Cum Laude in Chemistry in 1988. Shon then continued their studies at Colorado State University, where they earned their Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1993. Shon then went on to Stanford University for a Post Doctoral in Organic Chemistry, which they completed in 1995. In 2012, they completed an Executive Certificate from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington in the field of Business of Life Sciences.
