Meredith Lewando has extensive work experience at Ronald McDonald House New York spanning from 2012 to the present. Meredith started as a Guest Relations Intern, where they worked on various projects and built relationships with families and business associates. Meredith then transitioned into the Reception Coordinator role, leading the Front Desk management team and maintaining relationships with caregivers and volunteers. Meredith Lewando completed their education at the State University of New York Cortland from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a degree in Political Science with a specialization in Public Administration and Policy. Prior to that, they attended Sachem High School East from 2006 to 2009 and earned an Advanced Regents Diploma. In addition to their formal education, Meredith has obtained various certifications including "How to Design and Deliver Training Programs" and "The Neuroscience of Learning" from LinkedIn in March 2019, "Design Thinking: Understanding the Process" from Lynda.com in March 2018, and "Getting Started with InDesign" and "InDesign: Elements of a Layout" from Lynda.com in September 2016. Meredith also holds certifications in "Onboarding New Hires" from PMI-OC Project Management Institute Orange County Chapter and "Strategic Human Resources" from Lynda.com, though the specific completion dates for these certifications are unknown.

Ronald McDonald House New York is the largest facility of its type in the world. The House can accommodate 95 families, and it is filled to capacity almost every night. The House’s location in Manhattan, in close proximity to 16 major cancer treatment centers, draws children and families from across the country and the world, as well as from the metropolitan New York City area.
