Erik Garrido has over 20 years of work experience in the engineering industry. Erik began their career in 2000 as the Core Operations Unit Supervisor - Heat Transfer & Pressure Vessels for Inelectra. In this role, they were a Heat Transfer and Pressure Vessels Specialist for the Deep Conversion Project for PDVSA GAS (Venezuela) and the Western Cryogenic Complex. In 2009, they became the Design Engineering Specialist IV for Fluor Canada, Ltd, where they worked on the Athabasca Crude Upgrader Project for TOTAL E&P (Canada). Erik then joined SUMMUM in 2010 as the PMO Manager, where they were also the Manager for Business Developments (Colombia) and former Mechanical Engineering Department Manager. In 2022, they began working as the Project Manager / Proposal Manager for Rondo Energy.
Erik Garrido obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar in 1999, graduating with an Honor Mention on their Final Thesis. Erik then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the same university, graduating with Honors in 2007. In October 2018, they also obtained a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute.
