James Kendrick

James Kendrick has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. James started their career in 1996 as Executive Vice President & Secretary at The Aaron Copland Fund for Music, Inc. In 2002, they joined Schott Music Corp./European American Music as a Designated Representative. In 2007, they worked at ASCAP as Director and Treasurer. James then became a Partner at Alter, Kendrick & Baron, LLP affiliated with Law Offices of James M. Kendrick LLC in 2008. Currently, they are the Head of Classical Publishing at Universal Music Publishing Group since 2010.

James Kendrick attended the Manhattan School of Music from 1970 to 1974, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Oboe. Following this, they attended The Juilliard School from 1974 to 1976, earning a Master's degree in Music (MM) with a focus on the oboe. Finally, James Kendrick attended Rutgers Law School from 1979 to 1983, receiving a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law.
