Mathijs Sterrenburg

Mathijs Sterrenburg is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in various leadership and mentorship roles. Currently serving as Design Lead at AGENCY in Singapore since January 2023, Mathijs also operates as an independent designer focused on purpose-driven projects to enhance the visibility and impact of clients’ missions. Mathijs has mentored students globally at RookieUp and the Interaction Design Foundation, emphasizing intrinsic motivation in design endeavors. Previous positions include Creative Director at Velicus B.V., where the focus was on creating Mixed Reality products, and roles at &ranj and Accidental Design, both of which involved promoting positive societal change through innovative design. With a strong academic background, including a Bachelor of Fine Art in Education, Mathijs has also contributed to education as a professor and guest teacher at various institutions, fostering creativity and technical skills among students.
