Suzanne Kahn has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Suzanne currently serves as the Managing Director of Research and Policy at the Roosevelt Institute, where they previously held positions as Director of the Great Democracy Initiative and Education Program, and Program Manager. Prior to joining the Roosevelt Institute, Suzanne worked as a Research Analyst at 32BJ SEIU. Suzanne also had a period of self-employment as a Freelance Writer and Researcher, conducting research and writing for organizations such as W.W. Norton, Inc. Suzanne's academic background includes being a PhD Candidate in History at Columbia University, where they also worked as a Program Manager for the Workshop on 20th Century American Politics and Society, a Summer Instructor, and a Teaching Assistant for various courses. Suzanne has also held a position as a Grant Writer at All Our Kin, a nonprofit organization in New Haven. Suzanne began their career at SEIU as a Political Assistant and later became a Political Organizer. In these roles, they conducted policy analysis, organized lobbying visits and public actions, managed campaign materials, and created web-based advocacy campaigns.
Suzanne Kahn pursued their education at Yale University from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in History. Later on, they attended Columbia University from 2009 to 2015, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in History.
