Lee is excited to bring his financial management and team building experience to Root Applied Sciences. He loves growing teams and helping high-impact agtech companies succeed. Having been through rapid growth and development before, Lee is happy to be a seasoned voice to guide timelines and financial requirements at Root Applied Sciences.

Lee has a Bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has had C-level roles as CFO, CEO, and COO. Most similar to Root, Lee shepherded Benson Hill as CFO from formation until 2019. Lee sees the great trajectory and massive potential of Root and is thrilled to apply his skills and experience to help Root dominate the marketplace.
