Breanna Pierce is an experienced professional currently serving as the Adolescence and School Based Program Manager at Roots Community Health Center since July 2020. Roots Community Health Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to reducing health disparities in East Oakland, California. Roots is the first community health center in East Oakland to provide physician care at patient homes and residential facilities. Roots Community Health Center celebrated the opening of its new facility at 9925 International Blvd. in March of 2011. Our mission The mission of Roots Community Health Center is to uplift those impacted by systematic inequities and poverty by providing culturally responsive, comprehensive healthcare, behavioral health, and wraparound services; identifying and addressing root causes of illness and suffering; and emphasizing self-sufficiency and community empowerment.
