Liyuan Shen

Liyuan (Kingsley) Shen has extensive work experience in business development, marketing, and digital marketing. Liyuan (Kingsley) is currently employed at Roots as the Director of Intl. Business Development, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to their current role, they served as a Senior Business Development Manager at Roots from April 2021 to April 2023.

Before joining Roots, Liyuan worked at Smart Nora as the E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Lead from October 2017 to April 2021. Liyuan (Kingsley) was responsible for managing the company's online presence and marketing strategies. Prior to Smart Nora, they worked at Alibaba Group as a Business Development Manager from September 2016 to May 2017, where they facilitated bank partnerships and enabled global brands to sell through Tmall World.

Liyuan also gained experience at Rakuten as a Marketing Manager from October 2013 to January 2015. Additionally, they worked at ZALORA Group as the Regional Digital Marketing Manager and Head of Display Marketing in July 2013. Liyuan (Kingsley) began their career at Rocket Internet SE as a Regional Market Analyst from February 2012 to July 2013, focusing on online shopping websites.

Liyuan (Kingsley) Shen holds a Master of Economics degree in Applied Economics from the National University of Singapore, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business degree in International Business from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Economics degree in International Economics and Trade from Shanghai University, both from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in content marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, Google Ads, and Google Analytics.
