Alexandre de Souza Carvalho has extensive experience in marketing and product management roles. Alexandre is currently the Global Head of Marketing at Roquette since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Global Director, Innovation Marketing at International Flavors & Fragrances from 2021 to 2023. In 2019, they had a role as Global Director, Product Marketing Leader at DuPont. Alexandre also worked at Tetra Pak, where they held various positions including Global Director Marketing and Customer Innovation Centres from 2013 to 2019, Marketing and Product Management Director for Central America and Caribbean from 2011 to 2013, Category Marketing Director from 2006 to 2011, and Communication and Marketing Manager from 2005 to 2006. Before Tetra Pak, they worked at Kraft Foods as a Brand Analyst and Trade Marketing Coordinator from 2000 to 2002. Alexandre started their career as a Management Trainee at Philip Morris International in 1999 and as a Sales and Marketing Trainee at Symrise AG in 1998. Alexandre also had internships at HKI / CERIA / Istituto Agrario San Michele al'Adige in 1997.

Alexandre de Souza Carvalho has a diverse education history. In 1993, they received a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Food Technology from USP - Universidade de São Paulo. Alexandre further pursued their education in business administration, completing a Post Graduation degree from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas in 2001.

To enhance their skills in marketing, Alexandre attended the IMD in 2006, specializing in Strategic and Operational Marketing Management. Alexandre also obtained valuable knowledge in digital marketing from General Assembly, where they completed a degree in Digital Marketing between 2016 and 2018.

In 2011, Alexandre attended Hult Ashridge to develop their leadership skills. Alexandre continued to focus on innovation and design thinking, completing various courses at Whatif Innovation Partners in 2014 and 2015. Alexandre reinforced their leadership skills at Singularity University in 2017.

Additionally, Alexandre pursued a degree in Leadership from IFF in 2021 and 2022, and expanded their expertise in the wine industry by becoming a certified Sommelier from Associazione Italiana Sommelier in 2019.

Lastly, Alexandre's education journey began with their completion of high school at Colégio Arquidiocesano de São Paulo from 1980 to 1991.
