Lead Teacher at Rosary School

Asuquo Asuquo has a long and varied work experience in the field of physics education. From 2001 to 2016, Asuquo held several teaching roles at different schools. In 2001, Asuquo began working as a Physics Teacher at St. Maria Goretti High School in Uyo, where they supervised student laboratory work, developed and fostered the appropriate skills and social abilities of students, and prepared students for internal and external examinations and competitions. In 2002, Asuquo moved to Remo Methodist High School, where they developed a scheme of work, lesson plan and curriculum objectives that catered for the needs of the whole ability range within the class, as well as planning and delivering lessons, setting and marking class work, assignments and examinations, and facilitating learning by establishing relationships with students. In 2005, Asuquo moved to Redeemer's High School (Solomon Porch) as a Physics Teacher, where they planned and delivered lessons, set and marked class work, assignments and examinations, and organized learning resources. In 2009, Asuquo took on the role of Head of Science Department/Physics Teacher at The Learners' International School in Lagos. In 2014, Asuquo began working at Al Saeed Private English Institute as a Physics Teacher, where they utilized a curriculum which reflected the diverse educational, cultural and linguistic background of the student body, inspired academic success based on the belief that all students can achieve excellence, and administered standardized tests in accordance with IGCSE and AS level testing programs. Finally, in 2016, Asuquo began working at Rosary School as a Science/Physics/Sustainable School Project Coordinator and Senior Physics Teacher/Subject Coordinator- IGCSE, AS & A-Level, where they provided physics demonstrations to illustrate how coursework can be applied, provided innovative methods of solving physics problems using technology, instructed 44 students currently writing IGCSE and 1 AS level student in physics coursework, and tested students on knowledge of physics and retention of class lessons.

Asuquo Asuquo has a diverse educational background. Asuquo obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics from the University of Uyo in 2000. Asuquo then obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from Lagos State University in 2006. In 2021, they obtained a Master of Education (MEd) in Advanced Teaching from the University of the People. Additionally, Asuquo has obtained a number of certifications, including a COVID-19 Contact Tracing Course for Schools from the Sharjah Private Education Authority in 2021, a Cambridge Extension IGCSE Physics 0625-ExtensionTraining from Cambridge Assessment International Education in 2019, a Digital Support in Classroom Workshop from Cambridge Assessment International Education in 2018, a 21st Century Learning Design from Microsoft in 2018, a Microsoft Problem-Based Learning from Microsoft in 2017, a Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator from Microsoft in 2017, a Teaching with Technology from Microsoft in 2017, a Transitional Teaching License from the Ministry of Education - UAE in 2022, and a Guidance on the June 2017 series from Cambridge International Examinations in 2017.
