Marla Svoboda

Marla Svoboda has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Marla began their career in 1992 at Rose Brooks Center Inc. as the Director of Project SAFE, a position they held until 1998. In 2000, they joined Hallmark Cards as an Assistant Product Manager. Following this, they worked at Hope House as the Vice President of Development from 2004 to 2007, where they successfully managed a development staff and oversaw various fundraising initiatives. From 2007 to 2011, they served as the Vice President of Marketing and Development at Wayside Waifs, leading outreach, marketing, and development programs for Kansas City's largest No Kill animal shelter. Most recently, they have been the Chief Development Officer at Rose Brooks Center Inc. since 2011, where they direct and oversees all fundraising efforts for an $8.8 million budget. Marla Svoboda's work experience demonstrates their expertise in fund development, strategic planning, and nonprofit management.
