Dr. Lucy Muthoni

Dr. Lucy Muthoni serves as the Head of Mathematical Finance and Senior Lecturer in Mathematics and Actuarial Science at Strathmore University since September 2013, with previous roles including Head of Mathematical Finance, Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer. Additional experience includes a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence position at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and serving as a Strategy Consultant for the Actuarial Academy of East Africa. Dr. Muthoni has a strong academic background with degrees such as a PhD in Mathematics from Strathmore University and an MSc in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi. Furthermore, Dr. Muthoni has coordinated programs for NGOs focused on education for disadvantaged children and played a key role in establishing various educational initiatives at Strathmore University.
