Vicki Velez

Vicki Velez has over 30 years of experience in finance and accounting. Vicki began their career in 1988 as a Controller at National Semiconductor, where they were a financial and business partner to Vice President and Product Line Directors of 7 divisions ranging from $40M to $180M in sales. During their tenure, they implemented a system to track subcontractor inventories, reducing write-offs by 32%, and authored the manufacturing cost model in the newly automated business case. In 1996, they took an 18-month assignment in Hong Kong as a Finance Manager, where they supported the Telecom Division and researched telecom market activity and growth to support projects for National's investment in emerging countries. In 1999, they were promoted to Director of Finance, responsible for financial functions of operating units ranging in revenues from $150M to $450M. In 2001, they became a Consultant at ZiLOG Inc., where they completed various short term SOX assignments. From 2007 to 2011, they were a Consultant at Yahoo Inc., and from 2011 to 2013, they were a Consultant at Netronome. At Netronome, they had hands on oversight of all accounting functions, including cash/treasury, A/R, A/P, G/L, payroll, inventory reserves, stock option accounting and internal controls. During their tenure, they prepared monthly financials, reviewed account reconciliations, managed and prepared statutory filings, prepared annual financial statements, coordinated annual finance, tax, IRS and 401K audits, researched and recorded new transactions in accordance with GAAP, implemented new stock option, payroll and ERP systems. Since 2020, they have been a Financial Consultant at RoseRyan. Additionally, they have been a Soccer Coach for the De Anza Youth Soccer League since 2002.

Vicki Velez obtained a BS in Business and Accounting from San Jose State University and a Bachelor's degree in Business and Administration, Accounting from the same institution. Additionally, they have obtained a certification from LinkedIn in Jodi Glickman on Pitching Yourself in April 2020, and is a Certified Public Accountant from the California Board of Accountancy.
