Cristina Laurijssen has worked in various architectural and design roles throughout their career. Cristina started as an Architectural Designer at AA Architects Athens from 1999-2001. Cristina then worked as a Senior Architect at Squire and Partners from 2002-2006, where they were involved in the design and completion of luxury residential projects. From 2007-2010, they worked as a Senior Design Architect at Arcadia Design Architects, specializing in worldwide hotel and resort design. Cristina then moved on to Hyatt International from 2010-2013, serving as a Design Director. Following that, they worked as the Director of Design & Construction at Fairmont Raffles Hotels International from 2013-2015. Most recently, since 2015, they have been the Senior Director of Design and Project Services, EAME at Rosewood Hotel Group.

Cristina Laurijssen has a diverse education history in architecture. Cristina first studied at the German School London, where they obtained their Abitur degree in 1991. Cristina then went on to attend the Architectural Association in 1991-1992, earning a Diploma in Architecture & Design. Afterwards, they pursued further education at Kingston University, London, completing Architecture RIBA Part I & II from 1997-1999. Lastly, they returned to Kingston University in 2004-2005 to complete RIBA Part III, specializing in Architecture.
