Rosie's Place
Kelsey Soto is a seasoned professional in community engagement and volunteer coordination, currently serving as the Community Partnership Manager at Rosie's Place since August 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing scheduling, training, and cultivating partnerships with various groups. Previous experience includes roles as a Volunteer Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Manager of Volunteer Projects at City Year, where Kelsey implemented volunteer opportunities and managed events. Additional positions held include Community Engagement Coordinator at Cradles to Crayons Massachusetts and service as an AmeriCorps member with City Year Boston. Kelsey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine and Studio Arts with a concentration in Printmaking from Colby-Sawyer College.
Rosie's Place
Rosie's Place was founded in 1974 as the first women’s shelter in the United States. Their mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that helps poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives. Today, Rosie’s Place not only provides meals and shelter but also creates answers for12,000 women a year through wide-ranging support, housing and education services. Rosie’s Place relies solely on the generous support of individuals, foundations and corporations and does not accept any city, state or federal funding. Thanks to these donations, 88 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to services for poor and homeless women.
