Sandy Buchanich Sphr

Sandy Buchanich, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a diverse and extensive work experience in human resources. Sandy is currently a Member at Chief, a private network dedicated to empowering women executives. Prior to this, Sandy served as the Sr Vice President of Human Resources at Roskam Baking Company. Sandy also held the position of Vice President of Human Resources at Byrne, where they played a crucial role in implementing HR strategies and driving talent development initiatives.

Before joining Byrne, Sandy worked at Amway as the Manager of Succession Planning and Global Leadership Development, where they successfully executed strategies for executive succession planning and leadership development. Sandy also held the role of Human Resources Manager at Amway, where they contributed to strategic business planning and implemented a new global compensation structure.

Earlier in their career, Sandy worked at Kimberly-Clark as a Human Resources Business Partner and Learning and Development Consultant. At Kimberly-Clark, they worked closely with senior executives on talent initiatives and led the implementation of a new Learning Management System.

Prior to Kimberly-Clark, Sandy worked at Alcoa as a Sr. HR Business Analyst, where they partnered with business operations leaders to incorporate talent strategy and improve productivity and performance.

Throughout their career, Sandy has demonstrated expertise in HR strategy development, talent management, and organizational development.

Sandy Buchanich, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, holds a Masters degree in Labor Relations and Human Resources from Michigan State University. In addition, they also possess a Masters degree in Organizational Communications from Western Michigan University. Furthermore, Sandy has a Bachelors degree in Communications from Grand Valley State University. Along with their educational background, they also hold additional certifications such as SHRM-SCP, obtained from SHRM, and SPHR, obtained from HRCI.
