Alexander Leonov

Deputy Head Of Division at Rosneft

Alexander Leonov has a diverse work experience. From 2014 onwards, they worked at Rosneft as the Deputy Head of Division, where they conducted economic valuations and portfolio analysis for international upstream investment options. Alexander managed remote teams from different countries and integrated international subsidiaries into corporate planning and management reporting processes. At Rosneft, they also participated as an economic expert in the company's reserves audit, implemented efficiency-increasing measures, mentored junior team members, and managed cross-functional teams of up to 10 people. Alexander Leonov earned a MSc degree in Engineering from the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia from 2000 to 2007. Alexander then pursued further education at the Russian Foreign Trade Academy from 2006 to 2009, obtaining a degree in Economics with a focus on Foreign Trade. In 2007, they also received an ACCA qualification from ACCA, specializing in IFRS accounting. More recently, from 2018 to 2019, they pursued additional education at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University), focusing on Oil and Gas Engineering.
