Chad Pothoff has a diverse work experience in the field of broadcast production. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Video Production Crew member for the Muskegon Fury until 2008. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Freelance Video Editor and Camera Operator for B2 Networks. Chad then joined the Muskegon Lumberjacks as a Video Production Crew member from 2008 to 2009.
In 2010, Chad began their role as CMU Athletics Video Production at Central Michigan University, operating cameras for live athletic broadcasts, editing game highlights, and providing video services on the road. Simultaneously, from 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Producer/Director for Moore Hall Television Sports, where they produced and directed live-to-tape broadcasts of Central Michigan University athletic events and taught students how to operate broadcast equipment.
From 2011 to 2012, Chad worked as a Production Crew Member for the Great Lakes Loons Baseball Club, assisting in video broadcasts, directing multi-camera shots, operating video equipment, creating graphics, and producing replays.
Chad then joined the University of South Carolina Upstate as the Assistant Athletics Director for Video Services from 2012 to 2014, overseeing multimedia content and game day production for video boards.
Chad's next role was as a Production Manager for the SEC Network at the University of Missouri-Columbia. In this role, they directed digital and linear broadcasts for ESPN family of networks and Mizzou Network, served as a liaison between Mizzou Athletics and ESPN, and oversaw technical requirements for productions. Chad held this role from 2014 to 2020.
Since 2019, Chad has been associated with Ross Video. Chad started as a Freelance Director/Technical Director for Ross Production Services from 2019 to 2020. Chad then became an Operations & Broadcast Production Specialist from 2020 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Manager, Crewing & Operations - Ross Production Services, starting in May 2021.

Chad Pothoff began their education at Muskegon Community College in 2007, where they studied without pursuing a specific degree or field of study. Chad then transferred to Central Michigan University in 2009, and completed their Bachelor of Applied Arts in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts in 2012.
