Matt Gilligan

Matt Gilligan has a work experience that spans multiple roles and companies. Matt started their career in 2011 at 730 Permit Services Inc, where they worked as an Ace E-Manifest Agent for approximately nine months. In 2012, they joined Glover Customs Brokers as an Import/Export Coordinator, where they worked for four years. Then in 2016, they transitioned to Ross Video, initially taking on the role of Export Compliance Specialist. Matt held this position until December 2021 when they assumed the role of International Trade Compliance Manager.

Matt Gilligan attended Loyalist College from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained a diploma in Customs Border Services. In addition to their formal education, Matt has acquired several certifications related to trade compliance and dangerous goods transportation. Matt became a Certified Trade Compliance Specialist through the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers (CSCB) in November 2021. Matt also holds the ECoP certification from the Export Compliance Training Institute, Inc. - ECTI, obtained in April 2020. Matt obtained the U.S. Certified Customs Specialist certification from NCBFAA Shippers Association, Inc. in May 2017. Matt has also completed courses in shipping dangerous goods by air and transportation of dangerous goods by ground through the Worksite Safety Compliance Centre, both obtained in November 2016. Finally, Matt obtained the Certified Customs Specialist certification from the CSCB in October 2016.
