Merquit Lara

Merquit Lara has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and responsibilities. Merquit currently works at Ross Video as a Technical Support Specialist, assisting customers with technical setup questions, troubleshooting efforts, and providing product specific solutions. Prior to their current role, they worked at Grass Valley as a Senior CS Account Specialist / Order Management, where they were responsible for assisting the Sr. Manager, Sales Order Management with new projects and process introductions, generating KPI reports, and training new employees on processes and tools. Merquit also worked as a CS Account Specialist / Order Management, managing service order processing, issue resolution, and communication with customers, support, logistics, and account management. Before joining Grass Valley, Merquit worked as a Sales Account Specialist / Order Management, managing dealer/distributor orders, handling customer inquiries, complaints, and sales escalations, and processing orders. Merquit also worked as a Sales Support Specialist, Inside Sales Latin America at Grass Valley, where they responded to customer requests, fielded calls and emails, prepared quotes, and created opportunities in CRM systems. Prior to their time at Grass Valley, Merquit worked at Miranda Technologies as a Technical Support Technician, providing technical support to customers through calls and emails, and coordinating repairs and warranty replacements. Merquit began their career at DIRECTV Venezuela as a Broadcast Technician, where they were responsible for the installation, diagnosis, and maintenance of digital video, audio, and satellite transmission equipment. Merquit also gained experience in system testing and validation of compression encoders and control revisions. Merquit also worked at CMT Television as a Satellite Operator, where they designed and implemented a communications satellite teleport for a remote TV station.

Merquit Lara obtained a DEC in Telecommunication from IUT La Victoria from 1994 to 1999. They have also obtained a certification in Salesforce Essential Training from LinkedIn in July 2021.
