Shannan Gove has a background in event management and workforce technology. In 2010, they co-founded Event Workforce Group (EWG), a staffing and technology solutions business for the event industry. Through EWG, they developed the EWG Academy, providing training and job placement opportunities for emerging talent in the event, sport, and entertainment industry.
In 2012, Shannan worked as a Casual Workforce Manager for The Color Run and as an Operations Manager for IRONMAN on a contract basis. Shannan also served as a Volunteer Manager for Tough Mudder LLC in 2014.
In 2016, Shannan co-founded Rosterfy, a technology platform that simplifies volunteer and paid workforce management for charities, cities, and events. Shannan continues to serve as a Co-Founder of Rosterfy.
In 2017, Shannan gained valuable experience as the Super Bowl LI Workforce Operations Coordinator for the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee, overseeing the deployment of over 10,000 volunteers. Shannan managed the check-in and briefing procedures using Rosterfy's workforce management platform.
Shannan maintains involvement in the industry through various roles and organizations. Shannan became an Executive Member of the Australian Mass Participation Sporting Events Alliance in 2020 and a Director of Spark Event Group in the same year.
Most recently, Shannan took on the role of Director at SportsGrad in 2022. SportsGrad aims to bridge the gap between university and the sports industry by providing exclusive networking opportunities, content, and job listings through their online hub, the SportsGrad Community. Shannan also serves as an External Committee Member for the City of Greater Geelong Major Events.
Shannan Gove completed a degree in Commerce Sports Management with a focus on Marketing and Sports Management from Deakin University between 2009 and 2011.
