Arne Thies

Arne Thies, PhD, has extensive experience in environmental and economic consulting, serving as the Executive Director and Founder of BONAGERA e.V. since its establishment in 1990. In addition to leadership at BONAGERA, Arne Thies has held roles as a Senior Consultant for various organizations including IUCN, WWF, and KfW, focusing on project evaluation and impact assessment. Since 2011, Arne Thies has also acted as the Technical Advisor for Rotary International, while implementing the "Water and Jobs for Africa" initiative. Arne Thies holds a PhD in Agronomy, Hydrology, and Remote Sensing Techniques from institutions including the University of Göttingen and ITC-Enschede.
