Chris Watts

Chris Watts has been working at Rothamsted Research since May 2004, where they hold the title of Soil Science & Agricultural Engineer. Prior to that, Chris worked at Silsoe Research for over 25 years in a similar role. They obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Cranfield University in 2003 and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agricultural Engineering in 1978. Chris has extensive experience in sustainable soil management systems and the design of cultivation equipment, as well as expertise in measuring processes related to soil organic carbon sequestration. They have also designed various laboratory and field test equipment to support their research activities.
