Petra der Man

Petra Der Man is an experienced legal professional with a diverse background in governance and corporate law across various councils and educational institutions. Currently serving as the Interim DMO at Rother District Council since December 2024, Petra has previously held significant roles, including Interim DMO and Senior Governance Solicitor at Woking Borough Council, and Specialist Governance Adviser at Sheffield City Council. With extensive experience at Spelthorne Borough Council as Interim Group Head of Corporate Governance and Monitoring Officer, and as Head of Legal Services and Deputy Monitoring Officer at Lewisham Council, Petra has consistently managed legal and governance teams. Academic qualifications include a Solicitor Higher Rights of Audience from the University of Law, Law Society Finals & PSC from the College of Law, and an LL.B and BA (Hons) from the University of East London. Additionally, Petra has freelance experience as a Course Author and Tutor in Licensing Law & Practice at The University of Law since April 2015.
