Director Of Engineering at Routable

Adam Lowry has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and software development. Adam is currently the Director of Engineering at Routable since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Mentor at PIE (Portland Incubator Experiment) from July 2011 onwards.

From May 2018 to June 2021, Adam served as an Engineering Manager at Xandr where they managed two internal platform focused teams. Their role involved making UI and API/service development more effective, reliable, and of higher quality through infrastructure, shared services, libraries, and developer tools.

Adam played a significant role as co-founder and Distinguished Engineer at Urban Airship from May 2009 to May 2018. Adam helped the company grow from a team of four to a thriving business and wore multiple hats, including tech, product, and management. Adam led the development of early products and was involved in technical and management aspects.

Before that, they worked at Vidoop LLC as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead from September 2008 to May 2009. Adam led a team in developing an identity platform and later took on the role of technical lead for the entire development staff. Adam also initiated and led the adoption of agile software development methods within the company.

Adam's earlier experiences include working as a Software Developer at Kavi from May 2007 to August 2008 and at Nordicbet from August 2005 to December 2006. At Nordicbet, they worked as part of a multinational team, developing and deploying a major software system for an online gambling concern. Development was distributed in Europe and Asia, and agile methods like Scrum and Test-Driven Development were utilized.

Adam began their career as a Software Developer at Exoweb from July 2004 to July 2005.

Adam Lowry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at Portland State University, from 2005 to 2007.
