Amy Ma

Amy Ma has been working in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and product management since 1994. Amy began their career as a Program Associate at Materials for the Future Foundation in 1994. In 1996, they took on the role of Organics Recycling Intern at the San Francisco Department of the Environment (SF Environment). Two years later, they became a Sales and Marketing Specialist at Recology - Sunset Scavenger Company. In this role, they identified and secured new commercial accounts for one of the first large-scale food composting programs in the country. Her fluency in Cantonese enabled their to effectively recruit the important Chinese-American segment of the marketplace in San Francisco. In 1999, they were hired as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Recology. In this role, they implemented ESRI and RouteSmart GIS software to optimize truck routes for the 9th largest U.S. solid waste and recycling company. Most recently, in 2021, they took on the role of Sr. Product Manager at RouteSmart Technologies.

Amy Ma holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from New York University. Amy also holds four certifications: PMC Level I and PMC Level II from Pragmatic Institute obtained in December 2022, ArcGIS Pro Foundation 2101 from Esri obtained in March 2022, and ArcGIS Desktop Entry 19-001 from Esri obtained in November 2021.
