Doug Hill has over 25 years of work experience in the marketing and technology industries. Doug's career began in 1991 as a Radio Announcer for WRTA News Talk 1240, where they honed their public speaking skills and applied the advertising and marketing principles they had learned in college. In 1993, Doug moved to Wix Pix Productions as a Training Development, Writer/Producer, where they wrote, produced, and directed television programs, commercials, instructional videos, and marketing videos.
In 1996, Doug became the Director of Product Development at Training Technologies, where they were the primary architect and developer for all computer-based-training programs. Doug also supervised a team of technical writers, programmers, and artists to ensure projects met deadlines and budgets.
From 1998 to 2003, Doug worked as a Senior Systems Consultant for UPS Logistics Technologies/Roadnet, helping clients implement route optimization and other transportation and logistics solutions.
In 2003, Doug joined RouteSmart Technologies as a Senior Systems Consultant, then moved up to Senior Product Manager, where they developed and implemented the product roadmap and created a focused product strategy that met the company’s annual software sales revenue goals. Doug also led RouteSmart’s transition to an Agile development approach. Finally, Doug held the role of Vice President of Marketing at RouteSmart Technologies.
Doug Hill holds an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, where they studied Marketing, Environmental Finance, and Competitive Intelligence. Doug also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Penn State University, where they studied Communications and minored in Business Administration. Hill has also obtained several certifications, including Pragmatic Marketing PMC Level III, Pragmatic Marketing Focus, Pragmatic Marketing Foundations, and Pragmatic Marketing Market from Pragmatic Institute (Pragmatic Marketing + TDI) and Pragmatic Marketing, respectively, in 2018.
