Heather Simmons

Heather Simmons is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in higher education and public service. Currently serving as Vice President at Rowan College of South Jersey since 2024, Heather has held multiple leadership roles at Rowan University since October 2017, including Assistant Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, Director of Strategic Projects, and Director of University Business Outreach. Previously, Heather served as a County Commissioner in Gloucester County, New Jersey, from January 2011 to December 2023. Heather holds a Master’s degree in Public Relations from Rowan University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Saint Joseph's University, as well as a high school diploma from Merion Mercy Academy.
